12:45 PM - Meta / Facebook Data Center Tour
Location: Northwest of 144th & Fairview Road
This tour will take you through an under-construction building that upon completion will be a data center for Meta, parent company of Facebook. It’s part of the company’s multi-billion-dollar data center campus that takes up a square mile of suburban Sarpy County. The campus is so large, that parts of it are located in two different cities: Papillion and Springfield. The northern part of the data center campus has been operational for several years, but the Menlo Park, California-based company continues to expand the site as its data-capacity needs increase.

The 200,000 sq. ft. office space comprises two, 5-story buildings connected via skywalk. Completed in 2022, LinkedIn’s Omaha buildings have 2-Star Fitwell and LEED Gold Certifications. Beneath the main structure is a 2-story parking garage totaling 562,000 sq. ft., accommodating 1,000 vehicles, and includes a data center, ample storage, two car washes, a fitness room, locker rooms, mechanical and electrical rooms and two loading docks—all designed to preserve 50 acres of green space and natural habitat above. Above ground, the building has two, 3-story wings connected in the middle by an 80-foot atrium.
